Six on Saturday 08-10-2022

At least I am consistent. No gardening was achieved last weekend, and likely not much will get done this weekend either. I’m basically waiting for it all to die back now! Time for Six on Saturday. Six things, in the garden, on a Saturday. Could be anything, you decide!

Here are my Six for this week.

1 – Lawn. Lush and green, and still growing. I need to mow it, hopefully I’ll have a chance to mow it this weekend.

2 – Prunus incisa ‘Kojo no mai’. My two small trees are very briefly a riot of colour. Sadly it doesn’t last long, the leaves drop pretty fast.

3 – Artemisia ‘Powis Castle’. I had one of these years ago, it got very woody and I ended up removing it. I bought three small plants at the beginning of the summer and stuck them in the ground in the front garden. I’ve totally neglected them, but fortunately for us Powis is drought tolerant.

4 – Aster, generic. I’m not sure what variety this is, one of several small plants bought for peanuts a couple of years ago. They are low growing, just a few inches.

5 – Nasturtium – a few flowers now to add to last week’s foliage.

6 – Clematis Tangutica ‘Bill Mackenzie’. Sticking with the yellow theme, this is another plant that has staged a recovery with the cooler, wetter weather we have have had from time to time since the summer. It is covered with flowers and fluffy seed heads.

Those are my Six, what are yours? If you’d like to have a go, just publish your post and pop a link to it in the comments below. If you also mention my blog in yours that would be splendid. For more details you can read the brief participant guide.

Have a super weekend, enjoy what gardening you can.

I’ll be back next weekend for another #SixOnSaturday.
